Donald Trump Makes Funny Mistake in Since-Deleted Tweet Congratulating Chiefs for Super Bowl Win
By Mark Powell
Oh, Donald. We don't ask for much.
As democracy descends into...whatever this is, and we try our best to keep snarky political comments out of this post, the President has tweeted again. And, truthfully, it came from a good place.
President Trump wished the Kansas City Chiefs the best after winning Super Bowl LIV. In his congratulatory tweet, however, he made a slight geographical error. Normally, we wouldn't hold Trump to such a standard, but given he's the leader of our governing body...
In most cases we'd blame this on an intern, but if Trump's proven anything over his 3+ years in office, it's that he is the sole owner of his personal Twitter account.
For those who don't follow, or aren't from the area, Kansas City is in Missouri, not Kansas. While those in the Sunflower State are probably proud of their chiefs, if we're being technical, it'd be best to wish the entire region well. The Chiefs are the Midwest's football team, especially after the Rams left St. Louis.
It's only a minor blip on a celebration that'll include a White House visit to see Trump in person, but if we can't laugh at this small mishap, then perhaps all hope it lost after all.
