Drake Shouts Out Kevin Durant on Instagram After Likely Disastrous NBA Finals Injury

After Kevin Durant's hard-to-watch Achilles injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, many stars across the game expressed their support for the Warriors forward on social media.
Of course, since this is a Toronto-based event, those well-wishes came from Drake's corner, as well. The rapper and Raptors mascot wished the best for KD, knowing the long road ahead of Durant before he is capable of returning to the floor.
Although Durant's absence will most likely result in better odds for Drake's favorite NBA franchise to win their first championship, this post shows that some things are more important than basketball. KD's dominance on the floor has earned him the respect of both his supporters and his enemies, and winning the NBA Finals now won't feel the same as taking down a lineup that features two MVP-caliber players, as well as Klay Thompson, one of the best shooters of a generation.
While an MRI has yet to be conducted, Kevin Durant and his camp fear his Achilles is torn, which could hold him out for the entirety of the 2019-2020 season.
Golden State took the risk of bringing back Durant quickly in hopes of keeping them afloat, but that decision came back to bite them, as they are now without their star for the foreseeable future, should he decide to be a Warrior next season at all.
