Draymond Green Might Have Had the Most Self-Aware Comment of His Career After Warriors' Game 3 Win
By Brendan Azoff

Is it possible that we are seeing the maturation of Draymond Green occurring right in front of us? After his postgame comments Saturday night after taking a 3-0 series lead over the Blazers, it appears as if the Warriors big man has realized that his play can talk a lot more than his mouth ever could.

It is refreshing to see Green taking this point of view, as he credits his mother, fiancee and little ones at home as having the biggest impact on his self-evaluation. His technical fouls -- which sometimes do spark the Warriors, to be fair -- have the ability to create undue distractions and an uncecessary level of difficulty for his team. This apparent newfound perspective on the game and on himself can only benefit the two-time defending champs down the stretch.
This all came after the Warriors all but put the Blazers to rest with a 110-99 win, with Green posting a triple-double with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists.

If Green can continue to hone his self-awareness and really let his play do all the talking, it is all but over for the rest of the NBA. A fully committed, locked-in Draymond is truly valuable asset-- one that makes championships possible.
