During these difficult days in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrities and athletes continue to warm our hearts with their classy moves. You can now add New Orleans Saints signal caller and future Hall of Famer Drew Brees to the list.

On Thursday morning, Brees took to Instagram to announce he and his wife will be donating $5 million to help the less fortunate.

In his emotional Instagram post, Brees made clear the money will be used to deliver more than 10,000 meals a day to senior citizens, children on meal plans and struggling families. Brees is known for being an all-around great guy, and with New Orleans being his home since 2006, he wants to take care of his Louisiana family.

It's truly a touching move. While there was word he was considering retiring after the 2019 campaign, he just agreed to a new two-year deal worth $50 million with the Saints. Now, 10 percent of that contract will be going to help out those in need.

Kudos to the entire Brees clan for giving us all out there a reason to smile today.
