Drew Lock Has Already Made Denver Broncos History Somehow
By Jerry Trotta
The Drew Lock era in Denver might have taken longer than most fans and pundits originally anticipated, but boy, is it paying dividends.
While it's nearly impossible to determine if the 2019 second-round pick (No. 42 overall) is a franchise quarterback with a four-game sample size, it's equally impossible to deny that he hasn't impressed thus far.
Well, Lock managed to make a bit of Broncos history with his defeat of the Lions in Week 16, becoming the first rookie QB in franchise history to win three of his first four games under center.
He did what now?
It's almost impossible to believe that this is the reality, but the NFL never ceases to amaze.
Through four games, the Missouri product is completing 64.8% off his passes for 843 yards alongside six touchdowns and three interceptions. He's been far from perfect, but good enough to win.
Isn't that what matters at this level?
There will be bumps along the way, but Broncos buffs have every reason to start getting excited about the potential of their 23-year-old rookie.
