Duke Johnson's Agent Drew Rosenhaus Reportedly Met With Browns Over Trade Request
The Duke Johnson saga continues in Cleveland, but now there's a new major twist to things. Super agent Drew Rosenhaus is now representing Johnson and is wasting zero time trying to get his client what he wants: a trade away from the Browns.
On Tuesday, Rosenhaus actually flew to Cleveland to try and get the wheels in motion on a deal, Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot reports.
Training camp for the Browns is all set to start on Thursday, with the veteran players showing up on Wednesday. It remains more than unclear if Johnson will be in attendance, or holding out in hopes he's able to find a new team to play for.
While multiple players have said Johnson's trade request won't be a distraction for the team, few have forgotten when Baker Mayfield called the RB out for how he was handling the situation.
While the Browns and General Manager John Dorsey have made it clear they want Johnson to stay in town, Rosenhaus appears ready to apply some pressure to make something happen. Perhaps this story is only getting started.
For now, fans will have to wait and see if Johnson will suit up Week 1, or if he's played his last game in Cleveland.
