Duke Takes Top Spot in Latest College Basketball AP Top 25 After Kentucky's Upset Loss
It may just be Week 3 of the men's college basketball season, but there have already been a whole mess of shake-ups in the AP Top 25 poll.
The biggest one by far this week, of course, involves Kentucky. After an impressive victory against Michigan State in the season opener, they moved up to No. 1 in last week's polll... and they didn't stay there for long.
But in an absolute shocker, the Wildcats somehow lost to Evansville at home in a slam dunk upset of the year candidate. This embarrassing defeat lowers UK all the way to no. 9, with the Duke Blue Devils taking over the top spot.
Other noticeable changes include Louisville moving up to No. 2, Ohio State taking the No. 10 spot after an impressive victory against Villanova, and Tennessee entering the rankings at No. 20 after upsetting Washington
Despite being so early in the season, the AP rankings have been something of a roller coaster.
One can only imagine what they'll look like in March.
