Dusty Baker Confirms George Springer Will Remain in Leadoff Role for Astros in 2020
By Scott Rogust

The Houston Astros' sign-stealing scandal has dominated the team's news cycle. From the lack of a genuine apology to the team confiscating negative signs from fans, the Astros haven't looked great under the proverbial microscope.
But, with the team looking to put the scandal in the rear-view mirror, Dusty Baker announced some plans for the lineup.
Baker revealed on Sunday that George Springer will retain his spot atop the order and hit leadoff for the 'Stros in 2020.

Baker's not lying in that assessment. Ever since being placed in the top of the batting order, Springer has thrived. His 12 leadoff homers last season were just one shy of the major league record.
Additionally, Springer accumulated a career-high in batting average (.292), on-base percentage (.382), slugging percentage (.591), home runs (39), and RBI (96) in 122 games last season.

Baker wasn't involved in Houston's sign-stealing ordeal, and he's doing everything he can to keep the focus on what lays ahead in 2020.
