Dwight Howard Admires Thanos So Much That He Bought a Purple Car and This is Not a Joke
By Jerry Trotta
Other than Dwight Howard, there are few athletes in the world of sports, that we'd be surprised to be featured in this particular piece of news.
The Lakers big man recently gave a tour of his 35,000 square foot mansion in Atlanta to Christian Rivas of "Silver Screen & Roll," during which the eight-time All-Star showed off his collection of cars.
Among the assortment was a monster truck-looking Hummer, a motorcycle, and a purple Rolls Royce. When asked why he chose purple, D-12 claimed it was because he admires one of the greatest villains in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Thanos.
Howard's career has been a roller coaster ride to say the least, and he feels like he's made sacrifices in order to get where he is today, taking a cheap deal to join the Lakers. He admires the level to which Thanos is willing to make sacrifices in order to achieve his goal.
Perhaps Howard should dial it back with his admiration for one of the biggest super villains of all time, though you can certainly see the connection the big man was making.
Howard is now 33, so his playing days are beginning to dwindle. This season may just be his best chance at winning a ring, and he seems motivated to sacrifice whatever it takes.
