Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant were oil and water during their lone season together with the Los Angeles Lakers, but it sounds like D12 is keen on putting the past behind him.

Howard, who will participate this season, said he wants Bryant to be involved in one of his dunks in some fashion, and is urging Laker fans to help the plan come to fruition.

Howard famously participated in the dunk contest for three straight years from 2007-2009 and won the dunk contest in 2008 when he pulled out his famous Superman dunk. He played one drama-filled year with the feisty Bryant in 2012. He left for Houston after failing to dominate as a Laker.

Howard has rebuilt himself on a loaded Lakers team this year, averaging 7.7 points and 7.6 rebounds as a backup center after bouncing around the Eastern conference for a few years.

Dwight and Kobe appear to have buried the hatchet, and the pair's flair for the dramatic could be enough to help Howard take home the title once again in Chicago.

The 34-year-old may no longer boast the athleticism that helped him emulate Superman and win the Dunk Contest during his prime in Orlando, but you can count on one hand the amount of dunkers with more raw power than him in the league. If Kobe ends up agreeing to come to Dwight's aid, it would easily be the highlight of Howard's redemption tour in Los Angeles.
