Eagles Activate 21-Day Practice Window for CB Cre'Von LeBlanc Ahead of Potential Return From IR
By Karl Rasmussen
The Philadelphia Eagles may be getting a much-needed boost to their secondary.
Cornerback Cre'Von LeBlanc, who was placed on IR before the season with a lisfranc injury, has been activated for his 21-day practice window. If he impresses and seems healthy enough to return, the Eagles will have the option to activate him to the 53-man roster.
LeBlanc joined the Eagles midway through the 2018 season, appearing in eight games and starting four. In Philly, LeBlanc recorded 24 tackles, one pass defense and one tackle for loss.
He was placed on IR ahead of the 2019 NFL season, but it seems as if he's ready to stake his claim to a role in the Eagles' secondary.
The move comes shortly after the Eagles released wide receiver Jordan Matthews on Monday.
In his rookie season in 2016, then a member of the Bears, LeBlanc started nine games and recorded two interceptions, 44 tackles and 10 pass defenses.
The Florida Atlantic product has appeared in 39 games across his career, making 14 starts.
