Eagles Believe Corey Clement Won't Miss Significant Time With Shoulder Issue
By Parker White
The Philadelphia Eagles lost a couple skill players during Sunday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons, including running back Corey Clement.
Clement was seen after the game with his shoulder in a sling, but according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Eagles tailback had an MRI today and will likely miss a week or two. A long-term injury has been avoided.
The injury appeared to happen on a kickoff return in the third quarter, and the fact he'll only miss a short period of time is good news for the Eagles.
With Clement expected to miss only a couple weeks, rookie running back Miles Sanders will likely be Philadelphia's kick returner and veteran Darren Sproles will likely handle punts in Clement's absence.
The third-year running back has yet to be involved in the run game, so the Eagles' Sanders/Howard/Sproles dynamic stays intact.
