DeSean Jackson Expected to Return to Eagles Practice This Week
By Parker White
The Philadelphia Eagles offense needs a shot in the arm, which leads you to believe they might be active before Tuesday's trade deadline. However, it appears they'll have one of their key offensive players back in the near future.
According to Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be incorporated into practice "a little bit" this week.
Jackson, who hasn't played since Week 2 because of an abdominal injury, will get limited reps in practice beginning Wednesday. Even with Jackson returning to practice, he's still a long shot to play on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
The Eagles have a Week 10 bye, so Jackson returning following the break seems more likely than rushing him back for Week 9. In any event, any kind of return to the practice field is a notable step in the right direction.
In just two games, Jackson has eight receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns, all of which came in Philly's Week 1 matchup against the Washington Redskins.
