Could anything have been done to help save him?

That's the question the family of lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan Joe Nocero continues to ask. Yet, few answers have been provided to a grieving wife, her son, and so many others.

On Nov. 17, Nocero and his friends were getting ready to watch the Eagles take on the Patriots. Sitting in his seat, Nocero suffered a cardiac event and passed away soon after. Just like that -- out of nowhere -- he was gone.

Nocero's wife, Melissa, brave enough to speak with Erin McCarthy of the Philadelphia Inquirer to recount that tragic day, says she still hasn't been given a full explanation of why EMTs on site weren't able to help her husband in a quick enough manner.

According to McCarthy's article, Nocero's close friend Conrad Muth was screaming desperately for someone to help. An officer and security guard showed up after a few minutes to provide assistance, while EMTs took even longer.

The question begs... what in the world led to the delay? That's what Nocero's camp wants to find out immediately.

“As an organization we place a priority on the safety of our fans,” an Eagles spokesperson wrote to McCarthy and the Inquirer in an email, “but do not discuss that type of information publicly.”

Around three weeks after Nocero's passing, Melissa, family and friends made their way back to Lincoln Financial Field to honor Joe. That day, the Eagles beat the Giants 23-17 in overtime. While they did so to show their love for Joe Nocero, they surely hope more information comes out as to what could have been done to help him, while also making sure nothing like this happens in Philly again.
