Eagles Fans Are Buzzing About Jimmy Graham's Apparent Troll of DK Metcalf After Sealing Win vs Seahawks
By Jerry Trotta
Despite his forgettable tenure as a Packer, Jimmy Graham came up huge for Aaron Rodgers and Co. in Green Bay's Divisional Round victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The five-time Pro Bowler made a flurry of receptions in crunch time, but none were bigger than his game-sealing (and wildly controversial) first down on a 3rd-and-9 with two minutes remaining. Graham, indicating that the game was finished, subsequently threw up the deuces to the Lambeau Field crowd.
If you remember, DK Metcalf did the same thing to Eagles fans at Lincoln Financial Field last weekend after his reception sealed the deal for Seattle. To say that Philly fans loved Graham's epic troll would be an understatement.
If that's not poetic justice, we don't know what is. Imagine if this game had been at CenturyLink Field? We don't even know to fathom the mayhem that would've ensued amongst the 12th Man and Hawks Nest.
That's a topic for another day.
For now, Eagles aficionados are basking in Graham's glory...and Metcalf's comeuppance.
Wow. Bringing the iconic GIF of Derek Jeter's son into the mix tells us that this meant a ton to the City of Brother Love.
Even Packers fans jumped in.
Do we smell an alliance brewing between Philly and Green Bay buffs?
Yup. That emoji definitely signifies two new allies in the NFC.
One player's despair is another city's euphoria. Is that not why we love sports?
