Eagles Fans Send Jadeveon Clowney Death Threats After Injuring Carson Wentz in Seahawks Win

During the first quarter of the Wild Card matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles, Seahawks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney delivered a big hit on Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, taking him out of the game with a head injury. The Eagles were then forced to go with backup quarterback Josh McCown, eventually falling to Seattle 17-9.
Obviously, Eagles fans were disgusted with the dirty hit by Clowney. However, they took things over the top, sending death threats to the Seattle pass-rusher.

Clowney, for his part, acknowledged that while the hit was not intentional, he expected to get tons of hate from the Eagles faithful. He called out Philly fans in the process, which probably added to their hate for him.

Clowney has a history of injuring Philly QBs too. Remember when he was with the Texans and delivered this hit on Nick Foles?
Remember Clowney did not get a facemask call on Nick Foles. Wentz was on the ground when Clowney hit him helmet to helmet and drove his head to the ground. Wentz was already down though by previous contact. Calls don’t match the severity on the hits.

Woah. Two dirty plays against two different Eagles quarterbacks in a little over a year. I understand why Eagles fans dislike this man so much. At the same time, to send him death threats via his social media pages is inexcusable. Hate the man all you want, but making attacks of this magnitude against him is plain wrong.
