Eagles GM Howie Roseman is the Best at What He Does and One of His Rivals Just Admitted it

Not many franchises across the NFL can say that they fully trust the individual constructing their roster. That isn't at all the case with the Philadelphia Eagles, who boast a wizard of a general manager in Howie Roseman.
Even rival executives feel that way.
During an appearance on "Good Morning Football," Cleveland Browns first-year GM Andrew Berry didn't hesitate to recognize's Roseman's prominence.
“I’ve said it before, I think Howie is the best general manager currently in the sport," said Berry. "He has a very well-rounded skill set. I’ve taken a lot from him in terms of free agency, trades, general aggression with roster building, roster management and then overall people management.”
Berry's opinion is as credible as anybody's as he formerly served as the Eagles vice president of football operations before taking the general manager position in Cleveland, a post in which he's made a seamless transition.
It's not often that Philadelphia's fault-finding fan base eviscerates Roseman, but they've done just that following the NFL Draft for his selections of TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor (No. 21 overall) and Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts (No. 53 overall).
Based on value -- and already rostering Carson Wentz, an elite QB that the team has already committed big money to -- these picks are difficult to justify. However, like Berry's praise suggests, Roseman's resume proves that he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
