Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson Provides Positive Update on Dallas Goedert and Lane Johnson
By Parker White
On Tuesday, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson provided some good news regarding their offense, much to the fans' relief after a couple of key players were ruled out of the rest of the presesason.
Tight end Dallas Goedert and offensive tackle Lane Johnson should be ready for the season opener against the Washington Redskins. Johnson (knee) and Goedert (calf) have been dealing with lower-body injuries and have been held out of practice for precautionary reasons.
Both have been listed as week-to-week. Johnson has not played in either preseason game, while Goedert did have some run in their opening loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Since then, both have sidelined so they can prepare for the season opener against Washington.
Not only is Johnson the Eagles' top offensive lineman who seems to get this team going, Goedert has turned into a real weapon behind starting tight end Zach Ertz.
In 16 games last season as a rookie, Goedert hauled in 33 receptions for 334 yards and four touchdowns.
