Eagles Injuries Pile on as Fletcher Cox and Jalen Mills Get Banged up vs Cowboys
By Karl Rasmussen
The Philadelphia Eagles just can't catch a break on the injury front. Already lacking various members of their offense, it was the defense that fell victim to the injury bug on Sunday.
During the first half, the Eagles lost cornerback Ronald Darby to an injury. And at the start of the third quarter, their secondary got even thinner, with Jalen Mills suffering a non-contact injury while in coverage on Amari Cooper.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the already-banged-up Fletcher Cox went down a few plays later with an arm injury.
Cox replaced Mills in the blue medical tent, while the DB was carted off the field and into the locker room, despite having walked off the field under his own strength.
Fortunately, the defensive lineman was seen back on the field a few plays later (forcing a crucial fumble, of course), though the same could not be said for Mills.
Even with the plethora of injuries plaguing the Eagles, they still hold a lead over the Cowboys in the second half.
With Cox already back on the field, fans will be hoping to see Mills emerge from the locker room with his helmet in hand, as the secondary can't afford to lose any more talent.
