Eagles Insider Thinks Team Could Pair Andre Dillard in Alshon Jeffery Trade Talks
By Jerry Trotta
The Philadelphia Eagles project to be one of the busiest teams this offseason, and rumors regarding potential roster changes are already beginning to surface.
A few days after Alshon Jeffery was reported to be seeking a trade out of Philly, Eagles insider Tim McManus suggested that the franchise could look to pair offensive lineman Andre Dillard in potential trade packages alongside the veteran wideout.
McManus' claims are genuinely shocking when you consider that many analysts and fans in the City of Brotherly Love predicted Dillard, who the Eagles selected No. 22 overall in last year's draft, would be Jason Peters' successor at left tackle in due time.
Dillard appeared in all 16 games for the team last season, but only started four contests and played just 29% of the offensive snaps. Now, you're almost forced to think that the organization is plotting to bring back Peters, a nine-time Pro Bowler who turned 38 in January.
It's worth noting that we cannot confirm or deny the sturdiness of the legs that this rumor stands on, but it's certainly something to keep tabs on as trade rumors surrounding Jeffery and the Eagles continue to make waves.
