VIDEO: Jalen Hurts Running the Philly Special With Oklahoma Should Get Eagles Fans Jacked up
By Scott Rogust

The Philadelphia Eagles fan base is angrier than ever, and we didn't even think that was possible. Just like the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles front office avoided giving quarterback Carson Wentz weapons when the second round rolled around. Instead, they selected his backup in Oklahoma's Jalen Hurts with the No. 53 overall pick. Even though Hurts has the potential to bloom into a quality starter, Eagles fans aren't exactly sold on the pick. Well, that's where we come in. Just this past season with the Sooners, Hurts actually ran the Philly Special against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, a la Nick Foles in Super Bowl LII.

Are you at least a little bit calmer, Philly? How can you not be? This is awesome!
While Hurts slots in as the No. 2 signal caller on the Eagles depth chart, many predict that head coach Doug Pederson will use him in ways that the New Orleans Saints use do-it-all quarterback Taysom Hill. This clip shows that Hurts is capable of faking out defenses on trick plays.
Early prediction: Jalen Hurts plays a Taysom Hill role for the #Eagles as they groom him. They always like to groom QBs.
