Eagles Lose DeSean Jackson for 2 Weeks With Abdominal Strain
By Parker White
After a monstrous Week 1 against the Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was forced to leave the game early in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons due to injury.
Well, according to ESPN's Tim McManus, Jackson has an abdominal strain that will keep him out for the next two weeks.
Jackson is not the only Eagles skill player who is banged up, as fellow receiver Alshon Jeffrey and tight end Dallas Goedert are also at risk of missing time due to respective injuries.
Jackpot was hoping he'd be able to play this week, but it looks like the Eagles are airing on the side of caution, especially since they play two games over the next 11 days.
Jackson's ability to take the top off the defense will be sorely missed, as he hauled in eight receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1.
Carson Wentz will have limited targets to throw to in Week 3 considering the injuries plaguing the Eagles' receiving corps, but fortunately Jackson's ailment is only short term and he should be back in the mix before long.
