Eagles OL Lane Johnson Cleared Concussion Protocol and is Expected to Play Sunday vs Dolphins
By Karl Rasmussen
Lane Johnson missed the Eagles' Week 12 clash with a concussion, which he sustained in Week 11 against the Patriots. His absence in the trenches was rather noticeable, as the offense put up just nine points in a loss to Seattle in his stead.
Well, that won't be a worry in Week 13, as Johnson has been cleared from the concussion protocol and is expected to be available to play on Sunday against the Dolphins.
Prior to his injury, Johnson hadn't missed a single snap for the Eagles in 2019. From Week 1-9, Johnson took part in 100% of the Birds' offensive snaps, a truly impressive feat.
The two-time Pro Bowler will be eager to get back in action and help prevent the Eagles from losing their third straight contest.
There was some concern that Johnson wouldn't be cleared in time for Sunday's tilt with Miami, but that won't be the case as he found out the good news on Wednesday, and took to Twitter to celebrate.
It's safe to say he's pumped to be back, and Eagles fans should be feeling that same type of way knowing he's back out there protecting Carson Wentz.
