Eagles Promote Practice Squad WR as Injuries Continue to Pile up

The Philadelphia Eagles just can't seem to catch a break.
Their season has been somewhat of a disappointment so far, going 5-5 and losing some games in embarrassing fashion, including last weekend's meeting with New England. A lot of this misfortune has to be credited to injuries, however, as it seems like basically the whole team is out.

Now, it looks like the list of wounded won't be whittling down in short order. Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday that practice squad receiver Greg Ward has been promoted to the active roster while Nelson Agholor continues to deal with a knee issue.
The #Eagles promoted WR Greg Ward from the practice squad to the active roster and placed S Rudy Ford on Injured Reserve. That could mean WR Nelson Agholor (knee) or Alshon Jeffery (ankle) is in doubt of playing.

Highlighted by Lane Johnson and Alshon Jeffery, there's a real litany of Philly stalwarts unavailable at the moment.
However, some Eagles fans might not be too upset with Agholor being out in light of his dropped pass in crunch time last time out.
Nelson Agholor on not making catch in endzone. He was tracking it. Ball seemed to change direction little bit. Maybe wind?

“The ball did travel weird”
“But Ive got to make those plays”

Greg Ward isn't going to solve this team's injury woes. It will be up to Carson Wentz and a patchwork group to fight through the difficulty and manufacture offense Sunday against Seattle.
