Eagles Release Veteran Safety Andrew Sendejo
By Parker White

The Philadelphia Eagles' secondary has been an incredible disappointment this season, and with so many moving parts, the Birds have opted to let go another veteran member of the bunch.
After just nine games with the Eagles, 32-year-old safety Andrew Sendejo has been released.

Sendejo spent the last eight seasons of his career with the Minnesota Vikings before latching on with the Eagles. The former Rice standout made a name for himself with the Vikings after stints with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.

Sendejo only made one start for the Eagles and struggled to make much of an impact, totaling just 26 combined tackles, two pass deflections and one interception.
The veteran defensive back is known for his big-hit ability, but he isn't good in coverage and doesn't possess elite speed at this point in his career, which will make his options after being let loose by Philadelphia few and far between, at least in terms of a starting role.
