Eagles Reportedly Releasing RB Jay Ajayi With Jordan Howard's Looming Return
By Michael Luciano

Jay Ajayi's second stint as an Eagle is already over, and it didn't even last a month.
The former Dolphin signed with Doug Pederson and Philadelphia after an injury to starter Jordan Howard left them thin in the backfield. With Howard back and healthy, Ajayi has officially been released by the Eagles.

Ajayi first burst on to the scene by putting together a Pro Bowl season under Adam Gase in Miami. After Gase decided to part ways with him for no good reason, he joined the Eagles in 2017, helping contribute to their championship season.
After an ACL injury has sapped him of his elusiveness, the former Boise State Bronco signed with Philly due to an injury to Howard just a few weeks ago. Sitting behind rookie Miles Sanders and Boston Scott on the depth chart, he never managed more than 10 offensive snaps in a game. He carried the ball just 10 times for 30 yards.
Jordan Howard will return this week against the Giants ??

It's a shame that injuries have forced a Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion in Ajayi to claw on to a roster for three weeks at a time before being cut. When he was healthy, he was a budding star.
