Since knocking off Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII, there's been one thing keeping the Philadelphia Eagles from making it back: health.

Eagles fans thought they were busy enough dealing with fragile Carson Wentz, but last season, it wasn't just the quarterback that found himself sidelined with an injury. Philadelphia hasn't had the best history staying healthy throughout a whole season, and is cutting ties with members of its medical staff for a third consecutive offseason, this time slicing two members from its sports science team.

Sources claim that the Eagles are set to part ways with director of high performance Shaun Huls and director of rehabilitation Shireen Mansoori.

Following Philadelphia's Super Bowl win two seasons ago, they informed head physician Peter DeLuca, team internist Gary Dorshimer and head trainer Chris Peduzzi – who shared a combined 60 years of experience with the team – that they wouldn't return in 2018. In one season, the Eagles went from 11th in the league in games lost to injury to 32nd, dead last. They figure to finish around the same area this season.

The Eagles have been through a lot with injuries since letting go of that experienced trio after the Super Bowl, and it all came to a head during the unfortunate mess that was last season. An injury-ridden Philadelphia team managed to make it to the playoffs and almost beat Seattle with a hurt Josh McCown at quarterback, but staying healthy is what's haunting one of the NFL's most complete rosters. Is the third time a charm for a fresh medical staff?
