VIDEO: Eagles Fans Should Be Frightened Watching Rookie WR John Hightower Doing Wild Bike Tricks
By Michael Luciano
The Philadelphia Eagles gave their wide receiving room a major shot in the arm when they used a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Boise State deep threat John Hightower. Eagles fans excited to see what their new receiver can do on the field are going to be shocked, in more ways than one, when they see this video of Hightower's bike tricks. His balance on his bicycle is so great that he doesn't even have to hold on to the handlebars or keep his feet on the pedals, and he can take a selfie or put his backpack on while coasting.
If football doesn't work out, Hightower might be able to have a career in the circus as a tightrope walker with that balance. But in the meantime, Eagles fans had better hope that he's put a stop to these antics indefinitely due to the obscene injury risk.
Hightower was one of three wide receivers the Eagles drafted in 2020, along with first-round pick Jalen Reagor and sixth-round pick Quez Watkins. A dynamic playmaker as a runner and a quality vertical threat, Hightower will need to work on a drops issue that sadly manifested at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
If he cleans that up, he should see snaps in four-receiver looks this year in Philly.
At the very least, the Eagles wide receiver corps will be much faster and MUCH more athletic now that Hightower is in town.
