Eagles Rule Zach Ertz Out for Week 17 Clash With Giants
By Michael Luciano

The Philadelphia Eagles can clinch the NFC East and a home playoff game with a win against Daniel Jones and the New York Giants on Sunday, but they will have to do so without most of their big guns on offense.
Tight end Zach Ertz, who fractured his rib in Week 16's triumph over the Dallas Cowboys, will not play on Sunday against the G-Men.

Ertz came into 2019 as the best tight end in the game in the minds of many after setting a tight end record with 116 catches last year. While he has declined this year to the tune of 88 catches, 916 yards and six touchdowns, he's still headed to the Pro Bowl.
Second-year tight end Dallas Goedert will be called on to replace Ertz in the passing game. In addition to Ertz, wide receiver Nelson Agholor will also be inactive in this game, leaving Carson Wentz without FOUR of his top targets given the prior injuries to DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffrey.
Zach Ertz is OUT. So is Nelson Agholor.

Lane Johnson and Jalen Mills are QUESTIONABLE.
Wentz has shown he can beat the Giants without Ertz, but this injury could be a major cause for concern if Philly wins and ends up in the playoffs.
