Eagles Should Stick it to Cowboys and Sign Dez Bryant
By Mark Powell
We wouldn't call it a monumental risk by the Philadelphia Eagles, but their need at the wide receiver position suggests they should be open to any and all options.
Dez Bryant hasn't played an NFL down in two full seasons. That doesn't mean he's a talentless hack at this point in his career, but any team that does bring him in will do so as a low-risk, high-reward signing. Considering the Eagles' depth chart already consists of DeSean Jackson and JJ Arcega-Whiteside, plus Alshon Jeffery is on the way out, adding a veteran like Bryant to the mix can't hurt matters.
Bryant brings a big body to the outside, and a red-zone threat who can win one-on-one battles without much room to work with. Assuming he can stay healthy, he'd definitely be a reliable addition for Carson Wentz and Co.
Crazier things have happened.
Jerry Jones has kept Dez waiting for months. Rather than giving Bryant a legitimate offer, the two sides keep flirting, even with Dallas in need of a wideout.
The Eagles should swoop in while they still can.
