Eagles Star Brandon Brooks Confirms He Left Game vs Seahawks Due to Anxiety in Emotional Statement
By Thomas Carannante

The Philadelphia Eagles were already shorthanded on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but the situation got even more problematic on a multitude of fronts once the game began.
Brandon Brooks, who was recently signed to a lucrative contract extension, left the game and it was unclear why. Now, according to head coach Doug Pederson, Brooks was dealing with an anxiety issue.
Doug Pederson confirmed on 94.1-WIP that Brandon Brooks' illness on Sunday was related to the anxiety condition that caused him to miss games in the past, as @Jeff_McLane reported.

"This is a real-life issue," Pederson said. "This is not a football issue with Brandon."
Brooks left the game in the first quarter and the team designated it as an illness, but Pederson wouldn't confirm that after the game because he hadn't spoken to the team doctors.
Nonetheless, the 30-year-old Brooks missed a short amount of time in 2016 because of the personal issue and has been open about his struggles.
This is tough to hear. Wishing Brandon Brooks the best

It's a tough situation all around, so the support of the Eagles organization and the fans likely means the world to Brooks, who was openly apologetic about letting his teammates down.
Brooks is arguably the most valuable player along the offensive line, so fans will be wishing him a speedy recovery after Sunday's scary setback.
