Eagles Will Reportedly Target CB Logan Ryan in Free Agency
By Michael Luciano
The Tennessee Titans have a pivotal free agency period ahead of them, with cornerback Logan Ryan one of the many members of the 2019 team that could suit up elsewhere else come next season.
According to Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline, the Philadelphia Eagles, who are desperate for consistency out of their cornerback group, will be in on Ryan should he hit the open market.
A third-round pick out of Rutgers in 2013, Ryan spent his first four professional seasons with the New England Patriots, winning two Super Bowls along the way.
Ryan then left for Tennessee, where he has quickly improved under Mike Vrabel's watch. In three seasons, Ryan has amassed four interceptions, all of which came last season, and 8.5 sacks, 4.5 of which came in 2019. His versatility went a long way in helping him click with what Dean Pees wanted to implement defensively in Nashville.
Ryan picked up a 64.9 grade from Pro Football Focus, which puts him right around the middle of the pack compared to the rest of the cornerbacks in the league -- but even an average corner would be an improvement for the Eagles.
Ryan has been up and down over the course of his career so far, but he put together two of his finest seasons under Vrabel and Pees in Tennessee. Should he swap Music City for Philly, he would instantly become the No. 1 cornerback in town.
