Eagles WR Corps Finally Getting Healthy With Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor Practicing
By Jerry Trotta
Rejoice, fans in the City of Brotherly Love, because it would appear that Carson Wentz will have a competent receiving corps at his disposal for the Philadelphia Eagles' road tilt against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
After being shelved for Philly's Week 12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Doug Pederson expects both Alshon Jeffery (ankle) and Nelson Agholor (knee) to be full participants in practice this week.
Eagles buffs should view this as tremendous news, even though Jeffery and Agholor haven't mustered much production in 2019. Game film proved that Went'z wideout crew put forth a pitiful performance versus Seattle, and the addition of any and all brand names can't hurt matters.
Sunday could be a get-right game for Wentz and Co. against Miami's swiss cheese secondary.
Elsewhere, however, Pederson acknowledged that Jordan Howard, who has missed Philadelphia's last two contests with a shoulder impingement, has yet to receive clearance for contact.
Additionally, star right tackle Lane Johnson expects to clear the NFL's concussion protocol and is scheduled to practice after missing out last week.
We'll provide further updates throughout the week, but for now, it seems like the Eagles will be close to fully healthy on the offensive side of the ball against the Dolphins. DeSean Jackson, you're still missed, though.
