VIDEO: Clip Surfaces of Ed Oliver Failing Sobriety Test and Getting Arrested in Bills Shirt
By Michael Luciano
Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver became the latest in a concerning line of offseason arrests for some of the NFL's brightest young stars, as he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and possessing a weapon illegally. The video from Oliver's traffic stop has surfaced on Twitter, and it shows the 300-pound lineman barely able to look officers in the eye and walk in a straight line, all the while sporting some team apparel that confirms he is indeed the former first-rounder.
Just in case you had some doubt in your mind if that was indeed Oliver, the Bills shirt is a giveaway.
Oliver recorded 43 tackles and five sacks as a rookie, and looks to be a featured part of the Buffalo defense this season. It's a shame that his sophomore campaign had to get started like this.
Oliver's lowest moment as a pro has been officially captured on film. Hopefully this is a sobering reminder that even as a rising star in the NFL, his actions have consequences.
