Eddie Jackson Calls Out Bears Fans for Booing Team During Week 1 Loss to Packers
By Karl Rasmussen
The Chicago Bears weren't able to get anything going offensively in their season opener against the Packers, eventually losing in a low-scoring affair, 10-3.
The home crowd was less than thrilled with the performance, and at points throughout the game, you could hear quarterback Mitch Trubisky and members of the offense get showered by the boo birds.
Well, defensive star Eddie Jackson was not happy about that, and called out the Bears fans who booed the team.
While Jackson kept a mature and level-headed approach with his comments, he reminded Bears fans that booing is "not acceptable."
For a team with as much youth and potential as this one, hearing the fan base express its displeasure is sure to sting a bit. The expectations are high in Chicago, so naturally fans were unhappy with the loss at Soldier Field, especially at the hands of Green Bay, but Jackson doesn't seem to think the booing was warranted.
While the booing was almost certainly not directed at Jackson himself, as the Bears' sturdy defense surrendered just 10 points against a top-tier offense, the defensive back was still irked by the behavior of his team's fans.
