Eduardo Escobar is Really Afraid of Cats So His Teammates Pranked Him With One
By Michael Luciano

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Eduardo Escobar fears no MLB pitcher, as he's in the middle of a borderline All-Star worthy season, hitting .282 with 17 home runs, 17 doubles, and 59 RBIs.
Cats, on the other hand, scare the living daylight out of him. In one of the best pranks of the MLB season, some Diamondbacks teammates brought a cat carrier with a stuffed animal into the locker room. Escobar promptly recoiled in terror and sprinted out of the room when he saw it.

Escobar will stare down a 100 mph fastball and promptly knock it into the Chase Field bleachers, but a harmless little calico cat sends him dashing out of the locker room like a cartoon character?
Escobar's fear of cats brings to mind all of the other famous quirky phobias around baseball, the most prominent of what was former Texas Rangers star Adrian Beltre's genuine hatred for anyone who touched the top of his head, which Elvis Andrus then made a routine.
Thinking of a Rube Goldberg machine that releases a cat whenever Eduardo Escobar touches Adrian Beltre’s head. https://t.co/JHY18KQ734

Imagine a 185-pound MLB player running in sincere terror from someone's kitten. If the Diamondbacks videotape their next feline-related prank, Escobar could end up breaking the internet.
