Edwin Encarnacion Roasts Gio Urshela on Instagram for Copying Gleyber Torres With Giants Jersey

Throughout the Yankees' 2019 season, it seems that Gio Urshela and Gleyber Torres have developed a very strong friendship. Some seem to think that Urshela mimics everything Torres does, pointing to evidence both on and off the field.

Well, Torres posted a picture of he and Urshela rocking identical Saquon Barkley jerseys on Instagram, and it seems one of their teammates has noticed Urshela's copycat tendencies. First baseman Edwin Encarnacion roasted Urshela in the comment section on Torres' photo, and it's hilarious.

Edwin called out Urshela for wearing a Giants jersey, implying the third baseman was only rocking it because his buddy Gleyber was.

Encarnacion, traded to the Yankees by the Mariners earlier this year, has clearly already found a brotherhood with his new club, developed to the point where he is able to publicly troll his young teammates on social media.

Edwin seems to think that Urshela's loyalties lie more with Torres than with the New York Giants, and perhaps he's right about that.

Regardless, Urshela got a swift roasting from his teammate after Torres shared the photo, and we're hoping he claps back at Edwin with some funny comments of his own. For now, he'll be focused on making sure he's good to go for his weekend return from the IL.
