Folks, this is it. The world will not end because of a global pandemic. It will be because of what just happened on social media.
After playing 16 NFL seasons, recently-retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is officially on Twitter! And he introduced himself to the social media masses with a tremendous first tweet.
To paraphrase Jimmy Chitwood, “I don’t know if it’ll make any change, but I figure it’s time for me to start playing social media." pic.twitter.com/Af8IFMOiEQ

Quoting the great sports film "Hoosiers?" Oh yeah, Manning's going to fit in just fine on Twitter.
Manning's former Giants teammates have spent their Saturday morning welcoming him to the social media world. But, the greatest introduction came from fellow quarterback and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tom Brady, who perfectly trolled the youngest Manning brother.
Welcome @EliManning, In typical fashion, you never showed up until the 4th quarter anyway ? https://t.co/Wbun1VS2A0

And Eli responded!!
Hope your golf game is as polished as your Twitter game. Don’t hit it in the lumberyard. https://t.co/SaPL34P2T2

Brady knows all too well about Eli showing up in the fourth quarter. When Brady was the starting quarterback of the powerhouse New England Patriots, he had to face the underdog Giants and Manning in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI. On both occasions, Eli rose from the dead in the fourth quarter to lead the Giants on game-winning drives in the waning minutes to steal two Lombardi Trophies from Brady's grasp.
Manning is living proof that it's better to show up late than to not show up at all. The same goes for joining Twitter.
