Regardless of what newly-acquired Celtics big man Enes Kanter lacks in defensive ability, he surely makes up for it in confidence and fearlessness.
At the Celtics introductory press conference on Wednesday, Kanter didn't mince words when he was asked why he chose the number 11 — the same number as the recently departed point guard Kyrie Irving. His response?

LMAO.
Despite sporting 00 for his last two teams, Kanter's face lit up when the reporter asked him why he chose 11. Whether or not Irving's departure for Brooklyn had any impact on Kanter's choice is unclear, considering Kanter wore number 11 during his stint in Oklahoma City.
Kanter is no stranger to controversy, calling the number one pick of this year's draft Zion Williamson, "Julius Randle with hops" on television earlier this offseason. Randle clapped back:
Yo @EnesKanter last time you guarded me I had 45 relax bro lol

Despite Kyrie Irving joining a contending Eastern Conference team in the Nets, Kanter hopes to—literally—fill his shoes and help lead the Celtics to a successful playoff run. Let's see if he'll be able to back up his talk.
