Clint Frazier's defensive mishaps in the outfield have drawn the ire of Yankees fans everywhere, especially after they sunk the team's chances of a sweep against the Red Sox over the weekend.

There may be a solution to his fielding woes, though. MLB Network analyst and 11-year MLB outfielder Eric Byrnes theorized that Frazier's running style, of all things, is contributing to his struggles.

Byrnes put forth the idea that Frazier is a "heel-striker," suggesting that the force with which he strikes the ground in each step is causing his head to move.

This would obviously make keeping track of the ball while it's in the air much more difficult.

Even more encouraging is that this would mean there's a possible quick fix to the miscues. Adjusting his running style could be all that stands between him and quality defensive play in the outfield.

His defense is the only thing holding him back from reaching his full potential as a star in the MLB.

Taking a look at fixing the problem with his running could help him blossom as a defender. Goodness knows the kid's trying every day.
