Here's Everything Tom Brady Said About Bill Belichick, Leaving Patriots and Legacy on Howard Stern
By Michael Luciano

Even after all these years, Howard Stern remains one of the best in the business at milking difficult answers out of some of the biggest names in America, and he managed to unearth a few nuggets during his interview with Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
Brady went on Stern's show to discuss his stunning divorce from the New England Patriots, and claimed that he knew even before the start of the 2019 season that he probably was not going to return in free agency.

At least this makes his departure seem more planned out than it appeared when news first broke.
While friction with head coach Bill Belichick is often cited as one of the main factors that pushed Brady away, he claims that he doesn't hold any resentment toward him. Furthermore, he distanced himself from dipping his toe in the "who is more responsible for the New England dynasty" pool, calling the whole premise of the argument ridiculous.

"No."
Who deserves more credit for the Patriots' success, Brady or Belichick?
Brady: "I think it's a pretty shitty argument, honestly."
Brady, like he always has been, is locked in on the next season, as he doesn't care about or pay attention to his legacy.
Brady: "I would say I never cared about legacy. I could give a shit about that. I never once when I was in high school said man I can't wait for what my football legacy looks like. That's just not me. It's not my personality."

In a moment of real candor, Brady was nothing but complimentary of the Patriots organization. The decision to leave appears to be motivated by his desire for a new challenge at this stage in his career.
