Ex-Miami RB Lorenzo Lingard Transfers to Florida

Lorenzo Lingard saw limited action at Miami over the past two years due to injury, and has now decided to end his tenure with the program.
The running back recently made himself available via the transfer portal, and has now found a new football home, and has managed to stay within the state while doing so.
The former 5-star recruit is heading to The Swamp to join Dan Mullen's Gators.

Lingard is headed to the Florida Gators and while fans can begin to figure out where he will be on the depth chart, the team may need to wait until 2021 to play him if the back can't get a waiver allowing him to play in 2020. That puts a bit of a damper on the move until we know more about his status.
Knowing the NCAA, getting approved to play in 2020 may be a difficult task.

The good news for Lingard is that even if he doesn't play right away he is still going to a top football program and will have plenty of opportunity down the line.
