Ex-Patriot Christian Fauria Claims to Have Inside Knowledge Chargers Will Pursue Tom Brady

In one of the first tangible news reports regarding QB Tom Brady's impending free agency, his former teammate Christian Fauria revealed that he has obtained insider knowledge regarding the Los Angeles Chargers' pursuit of the 6-time Super Bowl champion.
While Fauria's report suggests that the Chargers' pursuit of Brady would be motivated by a desire to "put fans in the seats", he did say that the LA team has Brady "in their cross hairs" as we approach the NFL offseason.

Source of @christianfauria's close to the situation with the Chargers regarding Tom Brady:
"I know there's been some interest if only to put some fans in the seats"
"I do have independent knowledge that they have Brady in their cross hairs"
While it would certainly be odd to see Brady wearing Charger blue on Sunday afternoons, stranger things have happened (remember that real life Treehouse of Horror episode when Brett Favre was a Jet?). With Brady approaching his age 43 season in 2020, a move to the West Coast may not be such a bad idea, especially after two decades of shivering through New England winters.
The Chargers certainly have the infrastructure to compete next season, with an offense that features souped-up versions of Brady's favorite Patriots pass-catchers (Julian Edelman and James White) in the form of Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler. For a player with "more to prove", going Hollywood could absolutely be in Brady's best interest, given the wealth of young talent on the Bolts' roster.

While Fauria's report is a bit murky, the link between Brady and LA's second team appears to be very real, and it seems as though the Patriots will need to fight in order to retain their quarterback this offseason.
