Ex-Pirates Employee Sends Wild Text to Reporter About Auditing Bob Nutting as Clint Hurdle Revenge

The division in Pittsburgh has reached a new low to be frank. For the Pirates, this past season was another embarrassing one. The team finished the campaign in dead last of the NL Central with a 69-93 record.
It led to the firing of veteran manager Clint Hurdle, who had previously announced he was returning to the team in 2020! However, fans aren't upset with Hurdle right now. Instead, they're sending all of their hate to team owner Bob Nutting, who may be the biggest villain in the city. Forget Antonio Brown, it's Nutting's title.
And this latest text from a former Pirates employee will only toss fuel onto the proverbial Pirates fire.
This was texted to me minutes ago by a VERY prominent former employee of the Pirates. This is how it happens. There are lots of people who know the truth of what's happening in there. I can't be the only one bringing it to light. People have to do it individually. #OurTeamNotHis pic.twitter.com/uprrh0QVEm

Goodness me. It's being made clear those in Pittsburgh believe Hurdle was made the scapegoat for all the horrible, horrible things Nutting and his front office have done over the years.
But now, to suggest they audit the man? This takes things to a whole new level. There are countless folks in the city who are demanding he sell the team. The city, collectively, wants its team back.
Neal Huntington was retained by Bob Nutting who says of Neal “I strongly believe Huntington and his team are the right people to continue to lead our baseball operations department “. So who ASSURED Hurdle that he would be back? GM says blame him pic.twitter.com/RQOiX7KyMq

What a complete and total mess. The Pirates have become a bigger joke than usual and fans are tired of seeing this mess continue to unravel. They deserve better than this. Nutting has to go.
