Ex-SportsCenter Anchor Roasted for Claiming Dead Announcer Keith Jackson is Dominating NFL Primetime
By Chris Pyo

Todd Grisham might really just want to focus on his UFC coverage for the foreseeable future.
In a recent tweet, Grisham gave props to Chris Berman and Keith Jackson for their work on NFL Primetime for the Browns-Rams Sunday Night Football game, psyched out of his mind about the program's ESPN+ return.
Watching Chris Berman and Keith Jackson on @nfl Primetime. Still the best at what they do and it’s not close.

That's great! Except that, you know, Keith Jackson passed away in January 2018, and remains dead to this day.
Expectedly, Grisham has been getting absolutely flamed for this tweet, as many people have been referencing Jackson's catchphrase "Whoa, Nellie" in response to Grisham's miscue.
Whoa Nellie? https://t.co/I1FDEnOF9N

I mean...whoa, indeed!

This reply was a bit more blunt.
Um... Keith Jackson is dead.

Yeah. He is.
If ESPN+ managed to get Keith Jackson I’d pay double https://t.co/1v307trTQm

Keith Jackson was a staple in sports coverage, especially as a legendary college football commentator for ABC Sports. He also served as a mechanic in the United States Marine Corps for four years before enrolling in college. We wish he were still alive! Unfortunately, the man Grisham was thinking of is ex-Bronco Tom Jackson, who's hosted this show...forever.
You mean TOM Jackson ... get a clue dude! Keith Jackson is six feet under ... God rest his soul!

That Jackson was awarded the Pete Rozelle Award for excellence in broadcasting by the NFL Hall of Fame in 2015. Fact check yourself next time and save all of us from getting a headache the next time you tweet.
