Ex-Texans GM Brian Gaine Faces Accusations of Targeted Firings of African-American Employees
By Brendan Azoff

Less than a week ago, the Houston Texans stunningly fired their General Manager Brian Gaine after just two years at the helm of the franchise. The move sent curiosity down the spine of all football aficionados and led many to ask why they made the move.
Recent accusations made against the GM by former security coordinator Jeff Pope may answer that question. Pope, who is African-American, claims that Gaine targeted minorities who were in leadership positions throughout the Texans organization, replacing them with people who were non-minorities.

Originally the firing was thought to be linked to the New England Patriots and some sort of tampering situation, but this new accusation brings another issue to light.
As you might expect, this massive news has brought negative attention to both Gaine and the Texans.

If this holds true, it won't only be a stain on the Texans organization, but on the NFL as well.
There will certainly be an investigation into the firing and the complaints made by Pope, but as of now, the situation does not look good for Gaine whatsoever.
