Ezekiel Elliott Calls Out Sports World for Leaking His COVID-19 Test Results
By Michael Luciano
Several players on the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans were confirmed to have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus this morning, but the only one mentioned by name was Cowboys superstar running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott took issue with the fact that his diagnosis was made public, citing the fact that HIPAA should have made such a thing impossible.
HIPAA refer to an act instituted by the Clinton administration in 1996 that is designed to protect patients' medical records and other health care information.
If Elliott wants to know who let his dirty little secret slip, he might need to look no further than his own agent, as Rapoport cited Rocky Arceneaux, who represents Elliott and helped land him a six-year, $90 million contract with the Cowboys. While Arceneaux did add that Elliott is "feeling good," Elliott probably isn't going to feel so good about his own agent leaking such a sensitive secret.
However, Elliott once again handed the responsibility baton over to the media, defending his agent.
Even though Arceneaux helped Elliott negotiate his lengthy extension with the Cowboys, if this gets pinned back on him, such an act of subterfuge might be grounds for Elliott switching representation.
