Ezekiel Elliott's Attorneys Accuse Las Vegas Security Guard of Extortion

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott isn't going to let an offseason incident in Las Vegas besmirch his name.
His attorneys have accused security guard Kyle Johnson, a man who he was involved in a physical altercation with back in May and is now attempting to press charges, of trying to extort the Pro Bowler.

“Kyle Johnson’s filing of a criminal complaint against Mr. Elliott in connection with the Las Vegas incident is the latest attempt to [extort him]," read a statement from Elliott's attorneys. "Mr. Elliott and his team are in contact with all of the proper authorities and are fully cooperating with them in their investigations.”
Johnson aims to press criminal charges against Elliott in wake of the NFL's choice not to suspend him for the incident, in which the Dallas Cowboys running back knocked Johnson to the ground.

Elliott has been the subject of much scrutiny over the course of his brief professional career for his actions both on and off of the field. He served a six-game suspension back in the 2017 season following domestic violence accusations levied by his ex-girlfriend.
The entire situation has followed an incredibly strange course. Johnson initially wasn't sure if he planned on filing charges and just wanted to hear a sincere apology from Elliott. It seems, however, that he isn't satisfied with how things have panned out in Elliott's case. In all likelihood, we're still a long way off from seeing this matter get properly resolved.
