Ezekiel Elliott's Cocky Assessment of Cowboys Makes No Sense Because They've Lost 7 Games

Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys might be one of the worst division winners in NFL history if they manage to take home the NFC East with what would at best be a 9-7 record. Still, this team is dripping with unearned confidence -- well, at least one player is.

Despite the fact that last week's win over the Rams was the first time this season Dallas beat a team over .500, running back Ezekiel Elliott still thinks his Cowboys are one of the best teams in the league, as evidenced by his latest outrageous comments.

Mind you, this is a team that allowed the New York Jets and Adam Gase, of all people, to carve up their defense.

Someone might want to break the news to Zeke that teams have been lining up and beating them half the time. Some, like the Buffalo Bills in primetime, have even dominated.

Bravado and confidence is one thing, but at 7-7 and with a pivotal matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on deck that could knock them out of the playoff picture, the struggling Elliott and the Cowboys sure picked an odd time to puff out their chests and show everyone how tough they are.
