Ezekiel Elliott Will Not Be Suspended by NFL for Offseason Incident in Las Vegas
By Parker White
It appears that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott can't stay out of trouble when the offseason rolls around. Elliott met with the NFL and issued an apology for his actions at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas in May, following the meeting, which seems to have boded well for the young running back.
Zeke has avoided any punishment from the league, per Ed Werder, as the NFL informed the Cowboys that Elliott did not violate the Personal Conduct Policy and will not be suspended.
The Cowboys were optimistic that Elliott wouldn't be suspended by the league for his actions. You can choose to believe his statement following his meeting with the NFL or not, but the bottom line is Dallas will have their most important offensive weapon for Week 1 of the season.
It appears that Elliott showed contrition when he spoke with commissioner Roger Goodell, thus helping him escape punishment for his actions. You know the Cowboys aren't going to punish Elliott, so he's coming away from this scot-free.
This is a big win for the Cowboys. After leading the league in rushing in 2018, the former Ohio State star looks poised for another huge year in 2019 as the Cowboys look to push deeper into the playoffs.
